A lot of brides consider hiring a local makeup artist at the destination to save on travel costs. But here’s why most of my destination brides choose to bring me instead:
I already know your skin. If we’ve done a trial and possibly your engagement or pre-wedding events, I already know your exact shade, which products work on your skin, how your hair holds, and what style you love. A local artist at the destination would be starting from scratch on the most important day.
Consistency across all events. Destination weddings usually have 3 to 5 events over 2 to 3 days. When I’m there for all of them, every look is planned as a collection. The haldi look, the sangeet look, the wedding day look, and the reception look all connect and evolve. A different artist for each event means inconsistent quality and no cohesion.
Zero coordination stress. You don’t need to find, vet, trial, and coordinate with an unknown artist in an unfamiliar city. I handle everything. You focus on enjoying your wedding.
Popular Destination Wedding Locations I Travel To
From Navi Mumbai, the most common destination wedding locations my brides choose are:
Lonavala and Khandala: 2 to 3 hours from Navi Mumbai. Hillside resorts and farmhouses. The weather is cooler than Mumbai, which is great for makeup longevity. I adjust the base for the altitude and the natural lighting that hillside venues offer.
Alibaug: Just across the harbour from Mumbai. Beach and resort weddings. I use extra waterproof and humidity-proof products because the sea air and salt spray can affect makeup differently than city humidity.
Goa: Beach weddings and heritage venue weddings. Goa weddings tend to be more relaxed, and the makeup approach often leans more natural and dewy to match the vibe. I adjust for the coastal humidity and the golden light that Goa is famous for.
Pune: 3 hours from Navi Mumbai. Garden venues and heritage properties. The weather is similar to Mumbai, so the product approach stays the same, but the lighting at Pune’s outdoor venues can be different from indoor Navi Mumbai venues.
Udaipur, Jaipur, Rajasthan: For brides who want a royal destination wedding. The climate is drier than Mumbai, which actually helps makeup last longer. I adjust the moisturising and priming for the drier air.

How Destination Wedding Pricing Works
Destination wedding pricing has two components: the makeup looks and the travel logistics.
Makeup looks: Same pricing as local bookings. Full looks at ₹12,500 to ₹14,000 per event depending on the service, same-day touch-ups at ₹8,500, sider makeup at ₹8,500, groom grooming priced based on events. The quality and inclusions are identical to what you’d get in Navi Mumbai.
Travel and stay: Travel costs (flight or train), accommodation for the duration of the wedding, and local transport at the destination are charged separately. These are actual costs, not a markup. I share the estimated travel budget upfront so there are no surprises. For nearby locations like Lonavala or Alibaug, the travel cost is minimal. For further destinations like Goa or Rajasthan, it’s higher but still straightforward.

What I Bring to a Destination Wedding
I travel with my complete professional kit. This includes my full shade range of foundations and concealers (HD and airbrush), all eye products, lip products, setting sprays, my airbrush compressor and gun, hair tools (curling iron, straightener, pins, clips, extensions), draping essentials (safety pins, brooches, fabric tape), and fresh flowers if available at the destination.
I don’t rely on the destination hotel or venue to provide anything. My kit is self-contained so I can set up and work in any room, any space, any condition. I’ve done bridal makeup in resort suites, farmhouse bedrooms, beach shacks, and heritage havelis. The location changes, the quality doesn’t.

Do you travel internationally for weddings?
Yes, I’m open to international destination weddings. The approach is the same: makeup priced per look, travel and accommodation charged separately. International bookings need more advance planning for flights and any visa requirements. Share your destination and dates and I’ll put together a quote.
How does the trial work for a destination wedding?
The trial happens in Navi Mumbai before I travel to the destination. We lock in your shade, eye look, hairstyle, and draping during the trial. On the wedding day at the destination, I’m executing an already-tested plan, not experimenting in an unfamiliar location. This is one of the biggest advantages of bringing your own MUA rather than hiring locally.
Can you cover all events at the destination?
Yes. I stay for the full duration of the wedding. Haldi, mehendi, sangeet, ceremony, reception, photoshoot, everything is covered. I plan the looks in advance so each event is distinct and the looks evolve across your wedding. Sider makeup for bridesmaids and family can be included too.
What if the destination has a very different climate from Mumbai?
I adjust the products based on the destination climate. For dry destinations like Rajasthan, I use more hydrating products and richer primers. For humid coastal locations like Goa, I use extra waterproof formulas and mattifying products. For hill stations like Lonavala, the cooler weather is actually ideal for makeup longevity. I research the expected weather before I travel and pack accordingly.
