How Bridal Makeup Booking Works in Navi Mumbai
I’m Anushree Shewale, a bridal makeup artist based in Nerul East, Navi Mumbai. This page explains how booking me works, step by step: your first message, the free half-face trial, the 40% advance that blocks your date, and the wedding morning. It also says plainly what is included, what costs extra, and who I am not the right artist for.
The short version: Send me your wedding date, your venue, your events and how many family members need makeup. I check the date and send you a quote. If you have a confirmed date, you do a free half-face trial at my studio in Nerul East. If you love the look, a 40% advance blocks your date and I take no other bride that day. Bridal looks are ₹25,000 each, with everything included. Travel is the only extra on a bridal look.
How Booking Works, Step by Step
Here is the whole process, from your first message to the wedding morning.
1. You message me. Send me four things on WhatsApp: your wedding date, your city or venue, the events you want makeup for, and roughly how many family members will also need makeup that morning. With these four answers I can check my calendar and quote you properly.
2. I check your date and send a quote. I take only one bride a day, so the first thing I check is whether your date is open. Then I send you a written quote on WhatsApp with the price for each look and the booking terms. Take your time to decide. If another bride has already blocked your date, I will tell you. I never double-book, so if your events have some flexibility, send me the other dates and I will check those. Peak wedding season dates go fast, so the earlier you reach out, the better. If you would like to talk things through first, I also offer a free pre-bridal consultation: no makeup, just a planning conversation.
3. You do your free trial. If you have a confirmed wedding date, I book you a free half-face trial at my studio in Nerul East. It is free, and you pay nothing before it. If you do not feel like the most beautiful version of yourself, you walk away owing nothing. The full rules are in the trial section below.
4. You pay the 40% advance and your date is blocked. If you love your look, the 40% advance blocks your wedding date, and from that moment I take no other bride that day. You can pay it at the trial itself. If you want to think it over, that is fine. I never push.
5. I send your plans. Once your date is blocked, I send you the Bridal Glow Plan, a simple four-week skin plan: water, sleep, sunscreen, no new products, and when to book your facial, which is two weeks before the wedding at the latest. After your trial I also send your wedding morning timeline, with times worked out around your muhurat and the time you need to leave. I am a makeup artist, not a dermatologist, so for any strong treatment or anything medical, always go with your doctor’s advice.
6. I come to you on the wedding day. I arrive well before the scheduled time, set up, and run your morning on the timeline we agreed. From the moment I arrive, you have nothing to manage.
The 40% Advance: What It Is and What It Is Not
What it is. The advance is 40%. For one bridal look at ₹25,000, that is ₹10,000. It is the only thing that blocks your date. No advance, no block. Until an advance is paid on a date, that date stays open to other brides. Once you have paid, you are the only bride I take that day.
If you need time to decide. Of course. After your trial I will tell you until which day I can hold your date for you. After that day, if no advance has been paid, I have to release it to the next bride.
What it is not. The advance is not refundable. It is how I block your date, and it is why I turn other brides away for that day. I state this clearly so there are no surprises later.
If your plans change. I am sorry if that happens. If you have a new wedding date and it is open with me, I will transfer your full advance to the new date.
The Free Half-Face Trial: Who Qualifies and How It Works
My trial is free, and it comes first, before you pay anything. It is my guarantee to you. I do a half-face trial, and if you do not feel like the most beautiful version of yourself, you walk away owing nothing. No advance, no obligation.
What the guarantee covers. The trial itself, and your decision after it. If you do not love the look, you owe me nothing.
What it does not cover. It does not change the advance rule: once you have paid the advance, it is not refundable. The trial also does not block your date. Only the advance does.
Who qualifies. The free trial is for brides with a confirmed wedding date. Before I offer a slot, I ask for your date, your venue, the events you want makeup for and how many family members will need makeup. I keep only 5 trial slots a month, so every bride gets my full attention.
No date yet? Then I send you the quotation, and we do your free trial as soon as your date is fixed.
What the trial is. A half-face trial means I do your look on one half of your face. You see my exact work on your own skin, you can compare it with your bare side in the mirror, and we finalise your look: base shade, eye look, lip colour and hairstyle.
What the trial is not. It is not a full-face session, and it is not for parties or functions. For a party I would love to book you, and that is ₹18,000.
Half-face only. That is the only kind of trial I do, for every bride.
At my studio. Trials are at my studio in Nerul East, on weekday afternoons. My full kit and lighting are there, and trials do not travel to your home. On the wedding day, of course, I come to you.
Confirmation. I message you the evening before to confirm. Please come with a clean, moisturised face if you can.
One reschedule. You can reschedule once. If a trial is missed again, I cannot offer another slot, but I will let you know when trial slots reopen.
What to bring. Photos of your outfit and any look you love, and your jewellery if you can.
Brides only. The free trial is for the bride. Your family members and bridesmaids are in safe hands without one: their makeup is ₹12,000 each, and I match their looks to the family look.
The Wedding Morning: How the Day Runs
On your wedding day, I belong to you only. I take one bride a day, and I never book two brides on the same date. Your family and bridesmaids are part of your own wedding, so I do their makeup the same morning. My team handles makeup, hair and draping together, so you coordinate nothing.
After your trial, I send you your getting-ready timeline. I build it backwards from the time you need to leave, so nobody is rushing and you are photographed relaxed, not stressed. This is an example for a 7:00 PM ceremony with a 5:30 PM departure. I adjust it for your muhurat and your day.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 12:30 PM | I arrive and set up. My station goes up, products come out, and your outfit and jewellery are kept ready with your family. |
| 1:00 PM | Family starts. Your mother first, because she always gets pulled away for tasks, then sisters and bridesmaids one by one. 45 to 60 minutes each. |
| 2:30 PM | Your hair begins. Hair first, always. It sets while I do your base. |
| 3:15 PM | Your makeup. The look we finalised at your trial, with no experiments on the day: HD or airbrush base, eyes, lips, lashes and lenses. |
| 4:30 PM | Draping and jewellery. Saree or lehenga draped and pinned to hold for 12 hours, dupatta set, jewellery on, flowers in. |
| 5:00 PM | Buffer and photos. You are fully ready 30 minutes before you leave. Your touch-up kit is packed and handed to the person you choose, and you take family portraits while everything is fresh. |
| 5:30 PM | You leave, glowing. |
Three requests from me. To keep the morning smooth, I ask for one room with good natural light near a window, one table and one plug point. I ask that everyone getting makeup is present at their slot time, showered and in a front-open outfit. And I ask that outfits are steamed and jewellery is unboxed the night before.
If anything changes. Tell me straight away and I re-plan the order. Managing the clock is my job, not yours.
A few reviewers in my Google reviews mention feeling comfortable, a team that kept to the time, and hair done as well as makeup.
What Is Included in the Price
One price covers the whole look. I don’t add charges later. Every bridal look includes:
That is one team and one price, so there is nothing for you to coordinate. Travel is the only extra on a bridal look. The ₹25,000 also covers the finish and style you choose, whether that is airbrush, matte or dewy, and the Maharashtrian, South Indian, Muslim and Christian bridal looks.
Products I use: Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Nars, MAC, Huda Beauty, Hourglass, Laura Mercier, Too Faced, Haus Labs, Natasha Denona, Embryolisse, Rare Beauty, Estee Lauder
Travel and Destination Weddings
I’m based in Nerul East. On the wedding day I come to your venue anywhere in Navi Mumbai and Mumbai with my full kit. Travel is billed separately, based on the location. It is the only extra on a bridal look. Your trial is the one exception to me coming to you: it is at my studio.
I take destination weddings a few times a year. Tell me the city and dates and I will send a full quote. For a destination wedding, travel and stay are charged separately, and the quote shows you the full picture before you commit.
Pricing in Plain Words
These are my current prices. Every bridal look includes everything listed above. Travel is extra.
| What you book | Price |
|---|---|
| Bridal, reception, engagement and sangeet looks, including regional and community bridal looks and airbrush, matte or dewy finishes | ₹25,000 per look |
| Haldi and mehendi | ₹14,000 per look |
| Back-to-back events on the same day (hairstyle change, touch-up, drape) | ₹12,000 |
| Party, groom, cocktail, corporate, registry or minimal bridal, and pre-wedding shoot | ₹18,000 per look |
| Family members and bridesmaids | ₹12,000 each |
| Half-face trial for brides with a confirmed date, at my studio | Free |
| Travel to your venue | Billed separately |
What changes your total. The events you book, because each event is its own look. How many family members and bridesmaids get ready with you, at ₹12,000 each. Whether two of your events fall on the same day. And travel, which depends on your venue. For a destination wedding I send a full quote. If you are booking several events, such as haldi, sangeet and the wedding day, I can share a combined quote.
What does not change it. My pricing is fixed. That is how I can promise every bride the same premium products and full attention. The parts of a bridal look are not priced separately: HD or airbrush makeup, hairstyling, draping, lashes, lenses, extensions, flowers and accessories are all inside the ₹25,000. The trial is free.
You can see each look and its inclusions on my bridal makeup and bridesmaid and family makeup pages.
Who This Is For, and Who It Is Not For
I am likely a good fit if you have a confirmed wedding date and want one artist who belongs to you that day. I am also a good fit if you want makeup, hair and draping done by one team for one price, if you want to see your look on your own skin before you pay anything, and if you want natural, skin-like makeup that still looks like you.
I am probably not the right artist if:
Your date is already taken by another bride and cannot move. I never double-book. I would be happy to recommend someone good, and if your date ever shifts, come straight back to me.
You want a free trial but do not have a wedding date yet. I can send you a quote now, and we do the trial once your date is fixed.
You want a full-face trial, a trial for a party, or a trial at your home. My free trial is half-face, for brides, at my studio.
You want your date blocked without paying the advance, or you need an advance that is refundable. Only the 40% advance blocks a date, and it is not refundable.
