Pre-wedding consultation. A discussion (in person or over WhatsApp) about your outfit, jewellery, venue, ceremony timeline, skin type, and preferences. This shapes the entire look direction. Not all artists include a formal consultation, but it should be part of any professional package.

Bridal makeup trial. A full 2.5 to 3 hour sitting, typically 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding, where the planned look is tested on your skin. Some artists include the trial in the package. Others charge it separately. Clarify this before booking.

Wedding day makeup application. The complete bridal look: skin prep (cleansing, moisturising, priming), colour correction, HD or airbrush foundation, concealer, setting, contouring, blush, highlighter, eye makeup (primer, shadow, liner, lashes, brows), and lip makeup (liner, lipstick). This takes 2.5 to 3 hours using premium professional products.

Hairstyling. A complete bridal hairstyle coordinated with the makeup look, outfit neckline, and jewellery placement. Updos, buns, waves, braids, or any style you choose. Includes heat styling, setting, and securing with pins and spray.

Saree or lehenga draping. Professional draping of your bridal outfit in the style you choose: nivi, nauvari, Bengali, Gujarati, South Indian, or any regional variation. Includes safety pins, brooches, and fabric tape. This is a significant time-saver and ensures the draping photographs cleanly.

False lashes. Premium false lashes (strip or individual clusters) selected for your eye shape and the level of drama you want. Applied and secured as part of the eye makeup.

Hair accessories. Basic hair accessories like pins, decorative clips, or small embellishments. Fresh flowers (gajra, jasmine) may or may not be included depending on the artist. Clarify this.

Touch-up kit. A small kit with your lip shade, blotting papers, compact powder, and extra pins. This goes with you for the rest of the day so you or a bridesmaid can handle minor touch-ups without the artist being present.

Pricing varies based on the artist’s experience, the products used, and the scope of services. Here is a realistic breakdown of what you can expect in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai:

Entry-level / freelance artists (₹8,000 to ₹15,000 per look): Suitable for pre-wedding functions or brides on a tight budget. Products may be mid-range. HD or airbrush may not be offered. Always insist on a trial and check product quality.

Established professionals (₹15,000 to ₹35,000 per look): This is where most reliable artists with proven portfolios sit. HD makeup with premium products, professional hairstyling and draping, and a structured workflow. Trial usually available (may be separate). This range offers the best balance of quality and value for most brides.

Premium / celebrity-tier artists (₹35,000 to ₹1,00,000+ per look): Top-tier reputation, luxury brand usage, full team support (separate hairstylist, draping specialist, assistant). Often includes pre-wedding consultations, multiple trials, and white-glove service. Best for high-production weddings and brides who want the highest possible level of service.

The per-look price is for one person (the bride) for one event (the wedding ceremony). Additional family members, additional events, and destination logistics are priced on top. Always get an itemised quote that shows the total cost including every component.

Products. A single bridal look using Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, and NARS products costs ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 in product consumption alone. Entry-level artists using mid-range products have lower product costs. The difference shows in longevity, comfort, and how the makeup photographs.

Time and expertise. A professional bridal application takes 2.5 to 3 hours of focused work plus a separate trial session. The artist’s years of training, experience with different skin types and lighting conditions, and ability to solve problems in real-time all factor into pricing.

Inclusions. A package that includes trial, hairstyling, draping, lashes, accessories, and travel will cost more than one that includes only makeup application. Compare packages on inclusions, not just the headline number.
